Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Scope of this policy

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all paid courses and related digital resources offered through glitzfy. It covers enrolment in online modules about broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. The policy explains how payments are handled, when cancellations are permitted and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued. It does not apply to free introductory materials or third-party products accessed through external links.

Prices, currencies, taxes and additional charges

All prices are displayed in British pounds sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included in the advertised price for consumers located in the United Kingdom. No additional taxes are added at checkout for UK customers. International participants are responsible for any import duties or local taxes that may apply in their own country. Course fees cover access to video lessons, downloadable resources and assessment materials. No hidden administration fees are charged unless explicitly stated before purchase.

Accepted payment methods, authorisation and security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers. Payment is authorised at the time of enrolment. All card transactions are processed through secure payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. glitzfy does not store full card details. If a payment fails due to insufficient funds or incorrect details, the enrolment is not confirmed until a successful transaction is completed.

Order confirmation and contract formation

After successful payment an automatic confirmation email is sent to the address provided during checkout. The contract between you and glitzfy is formed when the confirmation email is dispatched. At that point access credentials are issued and the course becomes available in your account. You should retain the confirmation email for your records.

Cancellation rights and applicable periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have fourteen days from the date of the confirmation email to cancel without giving a reason. If you have already started streaming or downloading substantial course content during this period, you lose the right to cancel. To exercise this right you must notify us in writing before the fourteen-day period expires.

Refund eligibility, exclusions and non-refundable items

Refunds are available if cancellation occurs within the fourteen-day cooling-off period and no significant content has been accessed. Once the cooling-off period ends or substantial progress has been made, refunds are granted only in exceptional circumstances such as technical failure on our side that prevents access for more than thirty consecutive days. Promotional bundles, gift vouchers and completed certification assessments are non-refundable. Partial refunds are not offered for partially completed courses.

Step-by-step procedure to request a refund

To request a refund you must send an email to london@abbeyroadinstitute.com stating your full name, order number, date of purchase and the reason for the request. You may also include your account username. Requests sent through the contact form on the website will be acknowledged within two working days. Verbal requests by telephone are not accepted.

Inspection, approval, rejection and notification of the refund decision

Upon receipt of a complete request our team reviews access logs to confirm whether significant content has been viewed. You will receive a written decision within ten working days. If approved, the refund is processed immediately. If rejected, the email will explain the specific reason and outline any options for appeal or further discussion.

Refund method, processing time and when funds reach the customer

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear on your statement within five to ten working days. PayPal refunds are usually credited within three working days. Bank transfers may take up to fourteen working days depending on your bank. glitzfy is not responsible for delays caused by your financial institution.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions and promotional offers

Because the courses consist of digital content, the usual fourteen-day cancellation right is lost once you begin downloading or streaming. Subscription renewals are charged automatically unless cancelled at least seven days before the renewal date. Promotional discounts cannot be applied retrospectively and any refund is calculated on the price actually paid.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks and suspected fraud

If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to retry. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and any excess amount is refunded. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in immediate suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account suspension and reporting to the relevant authorities where required by law.

Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If a course is not of satisfactory quality or does not match its description you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund regardless of the time limits stated above. These rights cannot be limited by contract.
